I finally finished packing for Nantucket. I'm off to the Standard to share a pitcher of the "High Line Fling" (Champagne, Orange Liqeuer, Grapefruit juice, and Lavender) with Tommy and my sister. Happy Friday! xx

It really hasn't felt like summer to me until now. The 4th of July is so close I can almost taste it! I've been looking forward to this holiday for months. My mom, my sister and I are heading to Nantucket for the week! A little island R&R is just what I need...

Right now I'm loving all things lucite. I can't stop thinking about these lucite bamboo chairs that I saw at Canvas a few weeks ago. They were slightly uncomfortable (they are small, plastic chairs after all) but the size and simplicity of them is just perfect for my apartment!

This weekend I popped into one of my favorite boutiques; Wink. As I was perusing the racks, I came across this turquoise dress. I immediately fell in love with it and looked to see who the designer was. The label read Erin Fetherston. I'd never heard of the designer before so I googled her. I learned that Erin is a San Francisco native who graduated from Parsons School of Design in Paris. Following graduation, she participated in the Paris Haute Couture Shows and then moved to NYC in 2007 where she participated in New York Fashion Week. Since then, Erin's line has been wildly successful. I just adore her clothes - they are so feminine and flattering. This week, Refinery29 is doing an amazing promotion where if you spend $50 on her site you get a $100 credit, spend $100 get a $200 credit, and spend $250 get a $500 credit! Talk about perfect timing because I definitely need/want (same thing...) this turquoise dress!

I have to give a little shout out to my boyfriend Tommy. Yesterday, he helped me bring home this full length mirror. As you can see this was not an easy task. Since there isn't an Ikea in the city, we took the subway and then a water taxi to the one in Brooklyn. The water taxi was really fun on the way there - on the way back (mirror in tow) not so much. After the mirror went on the water taxi, down Wall Street, in the subway, out of the subway, down 58th Street, and across 3rd Avenue, it finally made its way into our apartment. So, was it worth it? Absolutely! After researching full length mirrors for weeks and not being able to find the right one, I came across this one. The size, color, and price ($50 - talk about a steal!) were perfect. It would have been nice if Ikea allowed me to order this mirror online, but then again I wouldn't have had this ridiculous story to tell now would I? Thanks for putting up with my crazy ways Tommy, I love you!

I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw this picture. This is the exact bar cart that I've been coveting for months! Sadly it was a DIY project and cannot be purchased in stores, but now I'm inspired to find a fixer upper just like it. Read the story behind this amazing bar cart here. Speaking of bar carts and cocktails....I had the pleasure of meeting the fabulous blogger and (newly published author!) Mrs. Lilien at her book signing at Jonathan Adler last week. Her book is called Mrs. Lilien's Cocktail Swatchbook and features classic cocktails with a twist. I think it would make the perfect hostess gift, don't you?

This necklace is definitely a statement piece - which is why I think I've been too afraid to wear it until now. It's been sitting in my jewelry box staring at me since I bought it in January! I love bold colors and big jewelry, but was unsure what to wear with this necklace. I didn't want to wear something that would compete with it. Luckily I found this shirt at Zara yesterday (I highly recommend going to the one on 53rd and 5th - you'll see why when you go!) I paired this shirt with my trusty BCBG Maxi skirt, Sam Edelman sandals, and new YSL Belle du Jour clutch.

The weather here is really heating up (it was 97 today!) I'm already dreaming about the weekend and laying out in Central Park. Nothing beats a picnic in the park. I can't believe I took this picture almost a year ago - time flies. Thank you to everyone who entered the Jack Rogers giveaway and congrats to Kate from DomestiKated Life on winning a pair of fabulous Jack Rogers Cabo sandals!

I've been obsessing over these pillows since I wrote about them here over a year ago. They add instant chicness to any room. Thank goodness they're easy to find - both Calypso St. Barth and John Robshaw carry them online. I may just have to get 'em this weekend...pictures to come!

I scored this Theodora and Callum "Serengeti" scarf at Anthropologie 2 weeks ago and have been dying to wear it ever since. Today felt like the perfect day to break it out. The weather was just right - not too hot and not too cold. After getting brunch at The Smith (their strawberry mimosas are to die for!) I ran some errands and then spent the rest of the afternoon strolling through West Village. It was a very relaxing Sunday, indeed!
I'm loving the pops of pink in these rooms. The pink accents are feminine without being overly girlie. How amazing are those Missoni pillows in the last picture?!

For summer I'm loving dresses with crochet detailing, bold prints, and neon colors. How amazing is that white dress? It's only $58! Such a must have. On a side note, congrats to lucky #13, Sheri Ann, for winning the a.v. max zodiac pendant, enjoy it!

I was instantly drawn to this kiwi colored Calypso blouse. It's such a refreshing shade of green - perfect for summer! These photos were taken in TriBeca yesterday. Tommy and I popped into Muji (a cool Japanese store with the best lucite containers and trays for jewelry), Canvas (a unique home decor store, obsessed with this chair), and The Ludlow Shop (a specialty suit shop for men owned by J.Crew.) TriBeca has such great shopping and restaurants, I can definitely see Tommy and I living there someday!
