The Thrill of Brazil

I found the perfect shade of red polish today and had to share.  It's called "The Thrill of Brazil" by OPI. I'm actually liking it more than "Big Apple Red" because it has less orange in it and is just slightly darker.  If you can't find "The Thrill of Brazil" the next best red is "Really Red" by Essie.  I had it on last week and got so many compliments.  What's your favorite red polish?

One Year

Today felt different and I couldn't figure out why.  I was just about to go to bed when I realized that it was July 26th.  Exactly one year ago today I moved to NYC.  This past year has truly been the best year of my life.  I feel so lucky to be living my dream.  Thank you to everyone who has helped me and supported me along the way.  Here's to another amazing year in the city! xx

All things Missoni

If you follow me on Instagram you know that I wore my all time favorite Missoni dress with a vintage scarf and these Dolce Vita flats yesterday.  It was about the 10,000th time I wore it this summer - I just can't get enough of it!  Which Missoni piece would you wear the most?   Intermix has a romper super similar to the one below, and Stylebop has the newest version of that crochet scarf that I must get my hands on.

Spotlight: Melanie Turner

I just spent about an hour pouring over interior designer Melanie Turner's website.  I am so amazed at how diverse her portfolio is.  She is able to create rooms that are simple and modern, just as well as she is able to create rooms that are glamorous and luxe.  You can see her entire portfolio here.

Southampton Social Club

Tommy and I had such a wonderful experience at SSC, so I had to share.  The inside dining area at SSC has a romantic, luxe feel with beautiful chandeliers, dark hardwood floors, and an oversized fireplace.   The outside patio, where we enjoyed our dinner, is situated in between two bars and overlooks a lawn with a fire pit and adirondack chairs.  The lawn is perfect for meeting a friend or two for a cocktail pre or post dinner.  My favorite cocktail was the "Roaring Twenties" - so delish!  The food was amazing - Tommy and I ordered a little too much but went home with leftovers which is always nice.  I can't wait to go back!

Beachy Chic

This dress has quickly become one of my favorites.  It's appropriate for work, a cocktail party, a wedding, and even just dinner and drinks with friends.  It's so comfortable, flattering, and the color is so vibrant.  A couple of shots on the beach before we went to dinner...

Southampton

Must Have: Slouchy Pants

This morning while riding the subway (and sweating profusely - this humidity will be the death of me) I spotted a super chic girl wearing a fabulous pair of light pink, floral, slouchy pants.  She paired her silk slouchy pants with an oversized white T and tan leather sandals.  I love how she looked casual and relaxed, yet still put together.  I absolutely need to find myself a pair of these silk slouchy pants!  I'm really liking this Alice + Olivia pair, this Tibi pair, and this Tucker pair.  Which do you like best?

Settees
