These velvet slippers from Zara were such a steal ($35.90!)  I picked them up on Friday at the Zara on 55th and 5th (in my opinion, the best Zara in NYC) and I haven't stopped wearing them since.

I found this picture and snippet about Argentina via elle.com. Summer Favorites

Today was the first day of Fall, but it was hot and humid so I didn't feel like wearing Fall attire at all.  I pulled out some of my favorite pieces from summer instead - my Pour La Victoire wedges and J.Crew panama hat.   I didn't get to wear this hat as much as I would have liked this summer, so I'm going to bring it on my trip to Argentina in 2 weeks!

Bedroom Bliss

I came across this bedroom on one of my new favorite design blogs; Amber Interiors.  I love everything in it - the moroccan blanket, Sheesha pillows (I still need one for my bed!), ikat curtains, and bamboo roman shades all work beautifully together.  In addition to her blog, Amber runs a wonderful online shop filled with chic pillows like this pink ikat silk pillow.  I hope you all have a lovely Saturday - I'm heading to Bergdorfs for lunch! x

Burgundy

Lately, people have been asking me what I think the "it" color for this season is, and in my opinion, the "it" color is burgundy.  I love that burgundy mixes beautifully with black, brown, grey, dark green, and cream.  You will definitely be seeing me in lots of burgundy this Fall!

You will not believe where these shorts are from. Wet Seal!  I know, crazy right?  I've been trying to wear as many of my favorite summer pieces as possible - pretty soon it will be too cold to go outside without a jacket!  Speaking of jackets, have you seen this jacket in dark green from J.Crew?  Very military chic and a definite Fall must have.

Bistro Tables

A bistro table is the perfect kind of table for a small space.  I just bought an amazing bistro table for my apartment at the Shabby Chic store on Mercer Street.  It's not too big and not too small.  I love the rustic/vintage look of it against my exposed brick wall (pictures to come!)  I need to go back and pick up these chairs, aren't they great?!

Zac Posen Spring 2013

Zac Posen's Spring 2013 collection is pure perfection.  The details, colors, and silks he chose were even more incredible in person (hard to believe, I know).  If only I had somewhere to wear that stunning mint green dress - my favorite piece from the collection.

NYFW: Zac Posen

The highlight of my life was last night at Zac Posen.  I had the honor of sitting in the second row, across from Andre Leon Talley.  I bumped into Martha Stewart and admired Taylor Tomasi Hill's flawlessness from 4 feet away.  I was on cloud nine before the show even started, and then Naomi Campbell came down the runway - I just about died.  Other legendary models followed; Karolina Kurkova, Coco Rocha, and Hilary Rhoda just to name a few.  The collection was absolutely breathtaking - extremely glamorous and feminine - so my style.  Visit my Facebook page to see pictures from the show!

Survival Guide: NYFW

Fashion Week is both exciting and stressful.  The pressure is on to always look your best!  This is my third Fashion Week and I feel like I finally have a good beauty routine down.  Here are some of my must have products.

1.  Nubra / an adhesive, barely there bra that is an absolute lifesaver for backless dresses

2.  Double sided tape / perfect for avoiding a fashion emergency - it holds a low cut top together

3.  Clear bandaids / for those painful blisters that everyone gets during Fashion Week

4.  Garnier Fructis anti-humidity hairspray / works like a charm for keeping hair in place

5.  Biore cleansing strips / when you have serious blackheads and don't have time for a facial

6.  Crest white strips / because who doesn't want white teeth?

7.  Mac lipgloss in C-thru / the only lipgloss I use

8.  Kiehl's ultra facial cream / the ultimate moisturizer

9.  Clean & Clear oil absorbing sheets / ideal for getting rid of forehead shine
