Packing for Paris

I just finished packing for Paris!  I managed to pack in 30 minutes and fit everything into a tiny suitcase.  Picking this black-tan-cream-burgundy color scheme really helped.  I would have loved to pack my entire closet, but that's not realistic now is it?!  Keep up with my Parisian adventures via Twitter, Instagram and Facebook - I'll be posting lots of pics!

12 Days of Christmas

There really isn't anything quite like Christmas in New York City.  The energy, the lights, the trees - it's all so very magical.  Here are a few shots (12 to be exact!) I've taken around the city this month - if you follow me on Instagram (kattanita) you've already seen these ;)

Leather+Stripes

Birthday Wishes

Thank you all so much for the birthday wishes on Twitter - I feel so loved!  I've had a wonderful birthday so far - Tommy and I started our day with brunch at Sarabeth's in TriBeca and then did some shoe shopping at Bergdorfs.  I'm heading to The Smith in a little bit to enjoy cocktails and dinner with my girlfriends and then I'm hopping into bed because it's been such a busy weekend!  Hope you all enjoyed yours! x

Pop of Color

Like most New Yorkers, I wear a lot of black.  I instantly fell in love with these Tod's moccasins when I saw them (on sale!) at Saks because they were just the pop of color that my typically all black outfits needed!  What's great about this raspberry color is that it works with white jeans in the summer and black jeans in the winter.  Gotta love a seasonless shoe!

The BluePrintCleanse

I did it.  I finished the BluePrintCleanse.  Was it easy?  No (of course not), but it was manageable.  Was it worth it?  Absolutely!  I feel healthier, lighter and more energetic.  Oh, and my skin is glowing!  You can check out my experience along with others on the BluePrintLife contributors page.  If you do end up doing the cleanse, my advice is don't forget to drink water and go to bed early (so you don't get any late night cravings!)

Rainy Day Wear

The weather was cold and rainy all day today so I threw on a cozy turtleneck, Theodora and Callum scarf, and velvet smoking slippers.  I'm super envious of everyone who was in Miami this weekend for Art Basel.  I know where I'll be at this time next year!  Hope you all enjoyed the weekend! x

Birthday Wish List

This past year has been extremely memorable.  I've been able to travel all over the world (you can see my Argentina pictures here), meet inspiring people (particularly Amber from rewardStyle), learn new things (I've finally mastered Photoshop), and embrace change (Monday was my first day at my new job!)  I'm looking forward to seeing what this next year has in store for me and can't wait to turn the big 2-4 in a little over a week!  A few things on this year's birthday wish list...

Brooklyn Brunching

On the weekends, I love to explore new neighborhoods and try new restaurants.  Today, I ventured to Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn to try an acclaimed brunch spot; Buttermilk Channel.  The hour subway ride was well worth it - I ordered the buttermilk biscuits, poached eggs, and ham and devoured it in about .5 seconds.  Tommy and I sat outside on their patio and people watched - another one of my favorite things to do!  I hope you all had a wonderful Sunday!
